SUMMARY:Public Affairs Conference - Business meets green
DESCRIPTION:Panel Session\n\n\nThe impact of green spaces on communities a
nd businesses has led to collaborative opportunities. The hyperlocal stra
tegy of engagement between business and community can lead to integration
that elevates both businesses and communities. The effects of such allia
nces create meaningful consensus\, and the resulting benefits may provide
improved management of resources\, as well more connections between heal
th and population. From composting to green architecture\, businesses are
building a united front supporting both self-health and environmental he
alth. From Missouri State University’s Campus Garden to the university’s
use of asphalt emulsion as a parking lot sealant\, indicators show that c
ommunities and businesses are working cooperatively toward an ideal of sh
ared responsibility.\n\n\nPublic Affairs Conference held Sept. 25-27\, 20
 18.
