 eness and Accessibility
DESCRIPTION:At the 2017 Global Summit on Graduate Education\, there were c
 ommon themes that characterize graduate programs that are successful now 
 and will continue to be in the future. Graduate education should promote 
 interdisciplinary and collaborative learning at all levels. Certificate p
 rograms for specific technical training and professional development to e
 mphasize soft skills are necessary.  Academic disciplines must work more 
 closely with industry employers to ensure optimal development of workforc
 e talent. University culture should ensure optimal access to graduate edu
 cation through personalized\, flexible and interactive curricula. \n\n\nD
 r. Julie Masterson\, Missouri State University Graduate College dean\, an
 d Dr. Gerald Masterson\, Missouri State University program director of gr
 aduate interdisciplinary programs\, will discuss strategies the MSU Gradu
 ate College and Graduate Interdisciplinary programs are using to ensure t
 he above mentioned features are being addressed in graduate programming f
 or both domestic and international students.\n\n\nThe luncheon will be he
 ld in the Turner Family Hospitality Room on the first floor of the Kennet
 h E. Meyer Alumni Center. Complimentary parking is available in the attac
 hed garage off of McDaniel Street. Feel free to arrive any time after 11:
 30 a.m. Lunch will be served at approximately 11:30 a.m.\, followed by th
