 nt a free public lecture\, “Neo-Charismatics in Germany and Switzerland: 
 On the Periphery of Organized Christianity.”\n\n\nDr. Freudenberg earned 
 a Ph.D. in sociology from the John F. Kennedy Institute for North America
 n Studies\, Freie Universität Berlin\, is the author of "The Mainline in 
 Late Modernity: Tradition and Innovation in the Evangelical Lutheran Chur
 ch in America" (Lexington\, 2017)\, and is associate editor of "Entangled
  Religions\, Interdisciplinary Journal for the Study of Religious Contact
  and Transfer."\n\n\nShe will discuss her research in charismatic Christi
 an movements\, and the social and cultural transformation of religion in 
 western Europe.
