DESCRIPTION:This season\, we're teaming up with the Messiah Project to bri
 ng you some special performances. Prepare yourself for a season of thanks
  and giving with two operas that share timeless messages of love\, forgiv
 eness\, faith and gratitude.\n\n\nMenotti's beloved holiday opera\, Amahl
  and the Night Visitors tells the story of the three kings as they make t
 heir way to visit the Christ child. The three kings stop for the night at
  the home of a poor single mother and her crippled son. The child offers 
 a gift and a miracle happens.\n\n\nIn David Conte's new opera based on th
 e O. Henry short story\, we meet a poor young couple who learn that showi
 ng love doesn't require money and that the best gifts are not always wrap
 ped in boxes. Conte's score is stunning and sure to become a classic for
