DESCRIPTION:Alternative date\, in the event of inclement weather\, is Satu
 rday\, Sept. 15\, 2018. \n\n\nThe public may visit the Baker Observatory 
 during public viewing events that are conducted by the Physics\, Astronom
 y and Materials Science (PAMS) Department. It's free and families are wel
 come. Carpooling is encouraged due to limited parking area.\n\n\nAs alway
 s\, observing events will take place WEATHER PERMITTING. If the sky is lo
 oking cloudy\, check our Facebook page for updates or call  417-836-5131 
 after 5 p.m. on the day of the events. Note that other adverse weather co
 nditions such as tornado watches can also cause event cancellations. Plea
 se do not call before 5 p.m. on the day of the observing event\, as it is
  unlikely that a decision will be made much before that. Be sure to follo
 w the department's Facebook page for the latest updates on observing nigh
 ts and other departmental events.\n\n\nNOTE: To help us keep the site dar
 k for better viewing\, please bring a red flashlight to see your way arou
 nd the Observatory entrance and grounds. Red tape or cellophane over a re
 gular flashlight is okay. Wear sturdy\, casual shoes or boots and dress f

 oximately 10 miles northwest of Marshfield\, off Missouri Highway 38\, at
