West Ballroom SUMMARY:International Culture Fair DESCRIPTION:The Department of Modern and Classical Languages will host its second annual International Culture Fair\, a community outreach project designed as a field trip for local elementary school children. Roughly 50 0 children will get to travel around the world as they visit 12 booths re presenting individual countries. They will learn about the local heritage and engage in a cultural tradition (like flamenco dancing in Spain\, mak ing beaded bracelets in Kenya\, playing wooden instruments in Indonesia a nd weaving on looms in Guatemala). \n\n\nYour help is needed to make this event a great success. We are looking for people with an interest in wor ld cultures to help chaperone the event\, as well as people with knowledg e of other alphabets to help children write their names in various langua ges.
