DESCRIPTION:Gary Pendergrass (PE\, RG\, F.NSPE) is principal geological en
 gineer at GeoEngineers\, Inc. and MSU and Missouri S&amp;T alumnus.\n\n\nPend
 ergrass has managed several large projects\, including the Times Beach Di
 oxin Project\, the Missouri Carbon Sequestration Project (which involved 
 MSU faculty and students) and the John Twitty Energy Center Landfill Expa
 nsion/Groundwater Characterization Project (which involved several MSU al
 umni). Pendergrass will demonstrate how all of the projects involved geol
 ogy\, geography\, planning and geospatial sciences. His talk will also em
 phasize some of the principles that have guided him through his career\, 
 such as discipline\, accountability\, seizing opportunities\, willingness
  to step outside of a comfort zone and achieving balance.
