DESCRIPTION:Ronda Burnett\, the Community Conservation Planner from the Mi
 ssouri Department of Conservation will be presenting. She helps communiti
 es connect to nature and enjoy the enhanced quality of life made possible
  by healthy fish\, forest and wildfile resources. \n\n\nCommunity conserv
 ation includes practices that increase the benefits that communities rece
 ive from the wise use and management of natural resources as well as prac
 tices that decrease the negative impact of urbanizaiton on nature. Attend
 ees of the presentation will learn about the characteristics embodied by 
 conservation communities\; tools that can be used to increase biodiversit
 y\, sustainability and connections to nature. She will talk about relevan
 t case studies that illustrate how Missouri communities are utilizing con
 servation planning practices.\n\n\nRonda holds a Bachelor of Landscape Ar
 chitecture from Louisiana State University and a Master of Urban\, Enviro
 nmental and Land Use Planning from the Univeristy of Kansas.
