On Feb. 24\, 1986\, a congressional resolution (H. Con . Res. 278) declared that Feb. 28\, 1986\, should be designated as "Natio nal TRIO Day" to commemorate the annual achievements of the Federal TRIO programs in communities across the country.\n\n\nOur TRIO Programs suppor t students\, including those who are first in their families to go to col lege\, or are from other underserved populations\, such as lower-income f amilies\, have documented disabilities or are military veterans.
