DESCRIPTION:Karen J. Aroesty\, Regional Director of Heartland Anti-Defamat
 ion League (ADL) will be speaking. \n\n\nAroesty received her B.A. from B
 arnard College and her J.D. from the Washington University School of Law.
  She joined the ADL in 1995 as a member of its Regional Advisory Board an
 d became regional director in 2000. Aroesty staffs the work of the U.S. A
 ttorney’s Hate Crimes Task Force\, a bi-state collaboration of representa
 tives of federal and state law enforcement\, education\, advocacy and soc
 ial justice. She educates law enforcement on hate crime and extremism. Sh
 e has received numerous awards\, including the Visionary Award from JPro 
 Jewish Professionals of St. Louis in 2018.\n\n\nCo-sponsored by Division 
 for Diversity and Inclusion and Faculty Center for Teaching and Learning.
