DESCRIPTION:COM Week 2020 turns to research and politics when Dr. Ben Warn
 er presents\, “Practical Solutions to Political Polarization…with special
  emphasis on forthcoming studies about intergroup contact as a promising 
 strategy to reduce polarization.”\n\n\nAn alum of MSU\, Warner is an asso
 ciate professor of communication and co-director of the Political Communi
 cation Institute at the University of Missouri. His research examines the
  communication causes of\, consequences from and solutions to political p
 olarization. He also studies the effects of campaign communication\, with
  a special emphasis on presidential debates.\n\n\nPlease join us for lunc
