DESCRIPTION:Description: Towards a More Inclusive Astronomy (TaMIA) was cr
 eated to provide a safe space within physics and astronomy departments to
  discuss equity and inclusivity. TaMIA meetings encourage attendees to un
 derstand the lived experiences of people with marginalized identities in 
 science\, and become better allies.\n\n\n In this session Dr. Mallory Mol
 ina will discuss the history and goals of TaMIA\, how it structures meeti
 ngs to provide support to marginalized people\, and demonstrate a group a
 ctivity similar to those held in TaMIA meetings.
