 llen Eskens. The event is hosted by the Ozarks Studies Institute\, an ini
 tiative of the MSU Libraries. \n\n\nEskens will read from his own works a
 nd talk about the craft of writing. He will also take questions from part
 icipants. \n\n\nEskens is the bestselling author of "Nothing More Dangero
 us\," a successful blend of crime novel and a coming-of-age story set in 
 a small town in the Missouri Ozarks where loyalty to family and to "your 
 people" carries the weight of a sacred oath. \n\n\nOther books by Eskens 
 include "The Life We Bury\," "The Heavens May Fall\," and "The Deep Dark 
 Descending." Allen is the recipient of the Barry Award\, Minnesota Book A
 ward\, Rosebud Award (Left Coast Crime) and Silver Falchion Award. He has
