SUMMARY:Public Affairs Conference - Bridging the health care divide
DESCRIPTION:Live Zoom webinar panel session (see conference website for Zo
om link)\n\n\n\n\n\n\nToo many Americans face obstacles in obtaining time
ly and quality access to primary health services. These barriers may be e
conomic\, cultural\, geographic\, linguistic or disability related. Child
ren\, adults and the elderly living in rural\, inner-city and other under
served and tribal areas face growing health care deserts as the number of
physicians declines. How can avenues for quality access and affordabilit
y be built? What new delivery methods are needed to meet social\, cultura
l and linguistic needs? As telehealth and digital methods of health care
delivery expand\, how can technology be secured for those unable to affor
d or access it? What are the implications for the training of future heal
th care professionals? How can partnerships with community or corporate o
rganizations and stakeholders help coordinate and integrate health care?
