DESCRIPTION:Presented by Teri Hargrave\n\n\nYou may not realize it\, but y
 ou interact with people who have survived trauma every day. These are ind
 ividuals who have been through experiences that caused intense physical a
 nd psychological stress reactions (for example\, over the last year\, man
 y people have experienced trauma as a result of COVID-19). Often the trau
 ma experienced by individuals can have lasting adverse effects on their p
 hysical\, social and emotional well-being\, impacting how they interact w
 ith others and experience the world. This session will explore how to fos
 ter a healthier workplace and classroom environment and culture by using 
 trauma-informed communication and conflict management to understand and s
 uccessfully engage with people who have been impacted by trauma.\n\n\nCam
 pus Conflict Workshop Series\n\n\nMissouri State faculty\, staff and stud
 ents - build your conflict and communication skills at the Center for Dis
 pute Resolution’s free noon sessions in the “Campus Conflict Workshop Ser
 ies.” In this series\, expert presenters will explore a variety of commun
 ication and conflict management topics. All sessions qualify for Master A
