SUMMARY:One Health: Connecting Humans\, Animals\, and the Environment
DESCRIPTION:MTH 497 Topics Lecture Series\n\n\nSpeaker: Dr. Suzanne M. Len
hart\n\n\nUniversity of Tennesee\n\n\nAbstract:  'One Health' is a multid
isciplinary approach to improving the health of people\, animals and the
environment. Environmental\, wildlife\, domestic animal\, and human healt
h fall under the One Health concept. Mathematical models  of infectious d
iseases involving animals\, environmental features\,  and humans will be
presented.  These models can suggest management policies and predict dise
ase spread.   Examples including La Crosse virus and Buruli Ulcers will b
 e discussed. \n\n\nVia Zoom: https://missouristate.zoom.us/j/99694284973\
