DESCRIPTION:Dr. Soumitra SenGuptaIndian Association for the Cultivation of
  Science\n\n\nAbstract:Discovery of gravitational wave after one hundred 
 years of the proposal of General Theory of Relativity as geometrical desc
 ription of gravity  opens up a new window to gain informations about our 
 universe. The spectacular discovery of this in LIGO experiments marks a n
 ew era of our communication system through gravitational wave spectroscop
 y.  In a simple language \, I  will briefly discuss about the theoretical
  description of gravitational wave from General theory of Relativity and 
  it's consequent experimental  detection in LIGO.\n\n\nThis seminar will
