DESCRIPTION:Jessica Cundiff\, MSU alumna\, Geology - 1998 will be making a
  presentation on career options you can pursue with a geology degree. Jes
 sica says\, "Most of us are aware of opportunities in academia and indust
 ry\, but what about museums?" Jessica is currently a Curatorial Associate
 \, The Department of Invertebrate Paleontology\, Museum of Comparative Zo
 ology\, Harvard University. Jessica will give an overview of her job work
 ing in a museum's paleontology collection\, outline the career path she f
 ollowed\, and discuss the various types of museum jobs relating to geolog
 y.\n\n\nJessica Cundiff has been at the MCZ (Museum of Comparative Zoolog
 y) for over 12 years. While at the museum\, she has worked on many projec
 ts funded by NSF (National Science Foundation). Her daily responsibilitie
 s as the Curatorial Associate include overseeing the activities in the co
 llection\, supervising departmental staff\, developing collection policie
 s\, working with visiting researchers\, approving loan requests\, and est
 ablishing curation procedures.
