As part of their course projects\, the student s researched and conserved objects on loan from the Art & Design art and artifact collections\, from museums and educational institutions in regio n\, and from private collectors.\n\n\nThis reception is sponsored by the Office of Citizenship and Service-Learning\, the Museum Studies and Art H istory & Visual Culture areas in the Department of Art & Design\, and Spe cial Collections and Archives. The exhibit will be on display through Dec ember 20th.\n\n\nIn addition\, Earlene Elliot-Lee\, a Museum Studies majo r and a student with work on display from both of these CASL classes\, wi ll present a live demonstration of painting conservation techniques at th e exhibit opening reception. Earlene is completing a painting conservatio n internship on a group of paintings by Howard Garrison this semester for the Christian County Museum.\n\n\nSpecial Collections and Archives\, a p art of the MSU Libraries\, supports Dr. Follensbee and her students by pr oviding study space and conservation facilities\, as well as developing t he current exhibit.\n\n\nSpecial Collections and Archives is open Monday through Friday\, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Closed on university holidays.)
