SUMMARY:Bears In The Know Luncheon Series: Exoplanets
DESCRIPTION:Over 3\,000 exoplanets have been confirmed to orbit other star
 s over the past 25 years. Dr. Peter Plavchan\, assistant professor of ast
 ronomy\, will provide an overview of the different methods used to detect
  these distant exoplanets\, as well as what we've learned and will learn 
 from our discoveries about our universe. He will conclude with describing
  exoplanet research projects at Missouri State University. \n\n\nThe lunc
 heon will be held in the Turner Family Hospitality Room on the first floo
 r of the Kenneth E. Meyer Alumni Center. Complimentary parking is availab
 le in the attached garage off of McDaniel Street. Feel free to arrive any
  time after 11:30 a.m. Lunch will be served at approximately 11:30 a.m.\,
  followed by the program at noon. \n\n\nThe Missouri State University Fou

 ally with our friends and supporters in the community.
