SUMMARY:3-Minute Thesis (3MT) Competition 
DESCRIPTION:The Missouri State University 3-Minute Thesis (3MT) competitio
 n will showcase students who have been nominated by their college to pres
 ent their research  because they represent the breadth and quality of gra
 duate research on campus. These students will have three minutes and one 
 slide to explain their research to the judges and audience. The winner of
  this competition will represent MSU at the Midwest Association of Gradua
 te Schools (MAGS) annual conference in April.\n\n\nWhat is 3MT? Oral comm
 unication of a student’s research to an educated layperson is often lacki
 ng in graduate programs.  The University of Queensland developed a progra
 m where students summarize their research in three minutes or less using 
 pre-determined guidelines\; longer presentations are disqualified.\n\n\n4
 -4:30 p.m. Preliminary program for all graduate students\n\n\n4:30-6 p.m.
