DESCRIPTION:Speaker: Dr. Sarah Elsea\, a 1990 MSU graduate and recipient o
 f the Presidential Scholarship\, is an Associate Professor of Molecular a
 nd Human Genetics at Baylor College of Medicine. She received her Ph.D. f
 rom Vanderbilt University\, where she completed a post-doctoral fellowshi
 p in enzymology. Dr. Elsea also completed a post-doctoral fellowship in h
 uman molecular genetics at Baylor College of Medicine.\n\n\nThe American 
 Board of Medical Genetics has certified her in Clinical Biochemical Genet
 ics. Dr. Elsea is a member of the American Society of Human Genetics\, th
 e American College of Medical Genetics\, the Society for Inherited Metabo
 lic Disorders and the Society for the Study of Inborn Errors of Metabolis
 m. In the Baylor College of Medicine Faculty Senate\, she served as a sen
 ator for more than a year. Her professional interests include molecular a
 nd biochemical basis of rare disease\, genomic disorders\, metabolomics\,
  diagnostics\, neurodevelopmental disorders and caregiver concerns.
