DESCRIPTION:Please join Jenny Vogel and Manuel Molina Martagon at Brick Ci
 ty Gallery (215 W. Mill St.\, Springfield) for a discussion of their work
  and the new media process.\n\n\nJenny Vogel's work explores the world vi
 ewed through new media technology using web-cameras\, blogs and Google se
 arches as source material. She received her MFA from Hunter College (NYC)
  in 2003. She is a 2005 NYFA fellow in Computer Arts and is currently ass
 istant professor of new media art at the University of Massachusetts.\n\n
 \nVogel’s work has been screened and exhibited in group and solo- shows i
 n numerous locations and galleries: Storefront Gallery\, NYC\; The Dallas
  Museum of Art\, TX\; McKinney Contemporary\, TX\; San Francisco Camerawo
 rk\, CA\; Arnolfini\, UK\; The Siberia Biennial\, Russia\; The Swiss Inst
 itute\, NYC\; EFA Gallery\, NYC\; Kunstwerke\, Berlin\; PS1 Contemporary 
 Art Center\, NYC. \n\n\nManuel Molina Martagon Martagon holds a bachelor’
 s degree in Mass Media and Communication from UPAEP (Universidad Popular 
 Autónoma del Estado de Puebla)\, an MFA in Photography\, Video and Relate
 d Media from the School of Visual Arts in New York and an MFA in Creative
  Writing in Spanish from NYU.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nMartagon’s work has been e
 xhibited in Mexico\, the United States\, Spain and Cuba. His videos have 
 been featured at festivals like Proyector Madrid\, Region 0 The Latino Vi
 deoArt Festival\, YANS &amp; RETO and Festival de Video Arte de Camaguey\, an
 d institutions such as the Institute of Contemporary Art in Philadelphia 
 and Art Museum of the Americas in DC. He has also been the recipient of m
 ultiple international awards and grants\, such as a Fullbright scholarshi
 p\, CONACYT (Consejo Nacional Ciencia y Tecnología)\, Alice Beck Odette G
 rant\, and PECD/AP (Programa de Estímulo a la Creación y Desarrollo Artís
 tico de Puebla). He is a regular collaborator with the New New Yorkers pr
 ogram at Queen Museum of Art.
