For more than 15 y ears\, he has worked with governments\, social sector organizations and c ollege and university campuses to help make interfaith cooperation a soci al norm. Named by U.S. News & World Report as one of America’s Best Leade rs of 2009\, Dr. Patel served on President Obama’s Inaugural Faith Counci l and is the author of Acts of Faith\, Sacred Ground and Interfaith Leade rship. He holds a doctorate in the sociology of religion from Oxford Univ ersity\, where he studied on a Rhodes scholarship.
