DESCRIPTION:Mr. Najat Abdullah will perform on his oud\, performing tradit
 ional Kurdish music. Afterward\, there will be a Q&amp;A about Kurdistan and 
 cultural diplomacy.\n\n\nNajat Abdullah is a Director of Culture and Huma
 nitarian Affairs at the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) Mission in Wa
 shington\, D.C. Mr. Abdullah coordinates all cultural outreach and engage
 ment with the Kurdish-American community\, including art exhibitions\, ho
 liday celebrations and cultural days.\n\n\nA professional traditional oud
  player by training\, Mr. Abdullah completed his training at the Sulaiman
 i Institute of Fine Arts and has played with numerous traditional Kurdish
  folk music ensembles\, including the renowned Sulaimani Folk Group\, as 
 well as the Sulaimani Institute Symphony Orchestra. He is a longtime\, ac
 tive member of the Kurdistan Organization for the Arts. Mr. Abdullah is a
 lso President for Kurdish Relief Fund\, helping refugees and IDPs in Kurd
 istan\, Iraq. He is fluent in Kurdish\, Farsi and Arabic.
