DESCRIPTION:Dr. George E. Tinker is the son of a Lutheran mother and an Os
 age father. Dr. Tinker identifies more with his father’s culture and spir
 ituality than his mother’s Lutheran background. Dr. Tinker’s identificati
 on with his American Indian cultural and spiritual heritage parallels his
  academic career\, which can be broadly described as a critique of Wester
 n intellectualism and economic\, political\, religious and social systems
 . \n\n\nDr. Tinker's keynote address will focus on native and indigenous 
 spirtuality and its impact on tribal life and community. \n\n\nDr. Tinker
  serves as the Clifford Baldridge Professor of American Indian Cultures a
 nd Religious Traditions at the Iliff School of Theology in Denver\, Color
 ado.\n\n\nPresented in collaboration with Student Activities Council and 
 United Ministries Higher Education/Ekklesia.
