SUMMARY:Native Art of the Americas: Exhibit Opening Reception
DESCRIPTION:Please join us in Meyer Library as students\, faculty and supp
 orters responsible for "Native Art of the Americas" come together for an 
 opening reception of the exhibit.\n\n\nFeaturing art and artifacts from t
 hroughout the Americas\, this exhibit reflects the research and interpret
 ation of Dr. Billie Follensbee’s advanced art history students from the 2
 016-2017 courses ART 385: Art of the Americas and ART 485: Art of Mesoame
 rica. In these integrated Citizenship and Service-Learning classes\, the 
 students worked with objects on loan from the Ralph Foster Museum\, the H
 istory Museum on the Square\, the Zinn collection\, the Ballweg collectio
 n and the Hernandez collection\, as well as other private collections.\n\
 n\nThis event is free and open to the public.\n\n\nSpecial Collections an
 d Archives in Meyer Library is pleased to support Dr. Follensbee and her 
 students by providing study space and conservation facilities\, as well a
 s developing the current exhibit showcasing the students’ work.\n\n\nFor
