 ry\n\n\nBrick City Gallery will host a public reception for Randy Bacon a
 nd friends from 6-9 p.m. April 6 at Brick City. The reception will featur
 e a pop-up sales gallery with work created by artists who are homeless. A
 ll proceeds will go to the artists. Brick City Gallery will accept donati
 ons of art supplies in support of The Gathering Tree art-making initiativ
 e for homeless friends. This is a First Friday Art Walk event.\n\n\nThe R
 oad I Call Home is a series of simple\, direct\, casual studio portraits 
 of homeless individuals\, emphasizing the beauty\, identity and integrity
  of each person. Accompanying each portrait is a panel outlining the subj
 ect’s circumstances in his or her own words. Randy Bacon's goal is to cha
 llenge viewers to recognize a common bond\, consider intently\, and open 
 their minds and hearts. He views each person as a unique individual with 
 a story that matters and considers these stories tools to help make the w
 orld a better place. Residing in Springfield\, Missouri\, Missouri State 
 University alumnus and award-winning artist Randy Bacon has been a profes
 sional photographer since 1984. He is in high demand for his portrait\, c
 ommercial and documentary work.\n\n\nRandy Bacon will speak about his wor
 k and vision 6:30-8 p.m. April 19 in Meyer Library Auditorium. Parking is
  available in Bear Park South parking garage and in Lots 19 and 20. Parki
 ng permits will not be required in these lots for lecture attendees on th
 e day of the lecture.\n\n\nBrick City Gallery is located at 215 West Mill
  St.\, Springfield\, MO. The gallery is open Monday through Friday\, 11 a
