SUMMARY:Clarinet Guest Artist - Katsuya Yuasa
DESCRIPTION:Guest clarinet artist Katsuya Yuasa will conduct a free master
  class at 3:30p.m. in Hamra Recital Hall and perform a recital at 7:30 p.
 m. in Ellis Recital Hall with pianist Veronica Adinegara. Both events are
  free admission.\n\n\nThis event is sponsored by Mu Phi Epsilon Foundatio
 n and the Clarinet Society of Missouri State University. This event was f
 unded in part by the Student Involvement Fee\, and approved by the Studen
 t Organization Funding Allocation Council (SOFAC)\n\n\nA charismatic and 
 versatile clarinetist\, Katsuya Yuasa has performed widely in United Stat
 es as a soloist and chamber musician. Presently\, he is concert artist of
  Mu Phi Epsilon\, adjunct professor at Florida A&amp;M University and a gradu
 ate teaching assistant at Florida State University pursuing a doctoral de
 gree under the guidance of Jonathan Holden and Deborah Bish. He completed
  his bachelor's at San Jose State University\, where he studied with Jane
 t Averett\; Master's and Artist diploma program at the Boston Conservator
 y at Berklee with Michael Norsworthy. He is a founding member of Duo Espl
 anade (flute\, clarinet) and Cosmos New Music (flute\, clarinet\, violin\
 , cello\, piano).\n\n\n\n\n\nYuasa holds prizes from more than 10 notable
  competitions and awards\, including the 2017 Florida MTNA Young Artist C
 ompetition winner.
